Meet The Team

At Dobcroft Nursery Infant School, we have an Eco Team which involves a group of pupils addressing environmental issues within the school and local community. Our Eco Team meet regularly to raise awareness of green issues, discuss eco-friendly ideas, plan initiatives and promote environmental awareness amongst their peers and wider school community.

 

The Eco Team and wider school work closely with Living Streets. Taking part in Living Streets has significantly helped our school embed a culture of sustainable travel. It is a pupil-led initiative where children self-report how they get to school every day using our interactive WOW (walk or wheel) Travel Tracker. Pupils across school have enjoyed activities such as ‘Bikeability’ and ‘Balance Bikes’ which support this initiative. We hope that building this confidence in cycling will help promote active travel as our pupils get older.
