Friends of Dobcroft Schools
Friends of Dobcroft Schools (FoDS) is a charity dedicated to raising funds for both Dobcroft Nursery Infant School and Dobcroft Junior School.
We are run entirely by volunteers, including parents, carers and staff, who work together to organise a range of events throughout the year. These include children’s discos, bake sales, the summer fayre, christmas fayre and other fundraising activities.
The money raised through these events helps to enhance the children’s school experience by funding projects and resources such as improving playground facilities, purchasing shared equipment and supporting other items or initiatives that the schools need and that FoDS feels will make a positive difference.
We usually hold FoDS meetings on a Monday evening during the first few weeks of each term and everyone is very welcome to come along (please email us if you are interested and we can add you to the whatsapp group). Whether you can offer a little time, help at events, share ideas or simply want to find out more, we would love to see you.
How You Can Support FoDS
There are lots of ways you can help FoDS make a difference for the children at Dobcroft Schools. Whether you can make a donation, come along to our fundraising events, volunteer your time, or support us through our Amazon wish lists, every contribution helps us provide extra opportunities, resources and experiences for the children.
We are always grateful for the amazing support from our school community, no matter how big or small your contribution, it all makes a difference.

We often get asked how people can help support FoDS, so we are creating Amazon wish lists to make it easier for families and supporters to contribute items that will benefit the schools.

Preloved Uniform
As part of our commitment to being an environmentally aware school community, FoDS is working with the school to provide good quality preloved uniform.
If you are looking for any uniform items, please email us and a member of the team will get back to you within 5 working days.
When contacting us, please include:
- The size required
- The item(s) you are looking for (e.g. cardigan, jumper, trousers, etc.)
- The number of each item needed
- Any colour preference (if you have one)
All preloved uniform items are £1 each.
Donating Preloved Uniform
We welcome donations of preloved uniform. Donations can be placed in the large brown bin at the bottom of the school gates (clearly labelled FoDS Uniform Donations).
We kindly ask that all donated items are clean and in good, resaleable condition, with no holes, rips, marks or stains.
A good rule of thumb: if you would happily buy the item yourself, we would love to receive it. If not, please recycle it responsibly instead.
