We hope that you enjoyed writing your setting descriptions last week. This week we have some activities to help you write your own newspaper about what happened in the story of James and the Giant Peach.
Lesson 1 - identify features of a newspaper
Lesson 2 - create a story mountain or plan for a newspaper
Lesson 3 and 4 - write your own newspaper about what happened during the story of James and the Giant Peach.
Try to write at least one or two sentences for each part of your newspaper. Remember your shooting stars of capital letters to start sentences and for names, finger spaces between words and full stops or exclamation marks to end your sentences. Using adjectives to describe nouns and the conjunction 'and' to join sentences together will help to make your writing more exciting.
