Planning wk beginning 5/10/20

Class: Mice Year: 2020 - 2021

This week the children will be continuing to explore repeating patterns but this time using 2d shapes. The children will learn to understand that colour and size does not have to be a factor in their shape pattern. We will encourage the children to use the correct name  for each shape and start to describe their properties using the language "side" and "vertice".

The children will also continue to learn a new sound each day in our daily phonics lesson and will be making their own rhyming soup recipe. We have a special song we like to sing as we put different ryhming objects in our mixing bowl.

We will also be reading the story of Stickman and collecting our own sticks in the forest to make stick people.
