Guide to using handwriting lines

Hi year 1,
We all hope that you have managed to collect your new green home learning books safely and enjoy using them. You will notice that the books have tracked handwriting lines in them. We want you to try your best using them, and we know that you will be resilient in having a go.
We have filmed a video showing you how to form your letters on these lines to help you, it is hyperlinked below.
We form all capital letters touching the top red line and sitting on the bottom blue line, lower case letters then sit within the blue lines apart from ascenders which reach up to the top red line and descenders which touch the red line below.
