Dear Year 1 parents
Thank you for all of your support during this unusual term. Your children have all made us so proud!
Please find attached some common exception word activities. Common exception words is the name given to words that are not spelt phonectically and appear frequently in children's reading and writing. It is part of the curriculum that year 1 children should learn to spell and read most of these words by the end of the year. We have put them into our spelling zone and zappers to make them more child friendly.
Please speak to your child's teacher if your child needs a new zapper or if you have any further questions.
