Class: Hedgehogs Year: 2020 - 2021

Hi all,

I hope you have all had a good week, we have had a very busy one in Hedgehogs.

In English we watched James and the Giant Peach and started reading the story.  We then wrote a blurb for the book to give clues to a reader about what the book is about and make them want to read it.

In Maths we have recapped numbers to 50, learned about measuring capacity and volume (we even created our own potions to help James defeat Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker), and we learned about time for o'clock and half past.

This week we also became engineers, we learned about batteries and circuits and we designed our own light up sparklers using LED lights and circuits.  We loved it and had lots of fun.

We discussed the stages of the human life cycle as we grow up and changes that happen as we get older.

We also enjoyed our last swimming lesson, and took part in some PE challenges including target throwing and speed bounces in our PE lesson.

We've worked really hard, and Miss Sutherland is very proud of us all!
