Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Temporary Position

 

Salary: Grade 3 £23,500 to £23,893 (pro rata)

Contract term: 28.75 hrs per week for 38 weeks of the year

Start date: As soon as possible

Closing date: Noon, Friday 18 October 2024

Dobcroft Infants have an exciting opportunity for a talented and caring candidate to join our team as a teaching assistant level 2 on a temporary basis until the end of August 2025. 

This role is to work as part of a team alongside class teachers, to assist with the teaching and support of children in order to provide high quality provision. Some of the children with whom you would be working will have specific needs. These may include autism, ADHD, learning and speech difficulties and/or social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will be required to support children with these needs within our internal SEND base as well as working with a wide range of children within the classroom.

We are a trauma informed school and therefore seeking someone with a genuine passion for developing positive relationships and a commitment to providing a relational approach to supporting children, particularly those with special needs.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is enthusiastic about working with young children and has a positive attitude 
  • Has experience of working with EYFS and/or KS1 children, 
  • Has a commitment to inclusivity, 
  • Is committed to providing high quality and enjoyable learning opportunities for pupils, 
  • Is an effective and reflective practitioner with a desire to learn and develop, 
  • Works well as part of a team and has good interpersonal skills with colleagues, children and parents. 

Visits to the school are welcome and interviews will take place week commencing the 21st October 2024.

The post is for 28.75 hours per week on a 38 week contract. Hours of work will be discussed at interview.
